About

The Gibsonville Museum & Historical Society, Inc (GMHSI) was established in 2009 to promote public knowledge of local, state, and national history (with an emphasis on the history of Gibsonville).  The GMHSI is a non-profit, member funded, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization.

The GMHSI is managed by a volunteer Board of Directors, as outlined below in alphabetical order:

  • Jessica Arnold.  Mrs. Arnold is also Gibsonville's Library Director.
  • Sean Dowell, Publications.  Mr. Dowell is a commercial real estate broker, principal of Dowell Commercial Realty, and active in historic rehab across NC.   Sean is Gibsonville's representation on the Guilford County Historic Preservation Commission (2018 - present).
  • Jim Ezekiel, Treasurer.  Mr. Ezekiel is an owner / principle of Preferred Graphics, a printing company.
  • Deleno Flynn, President.  Mr. Flynn is a former Town Manager of Gibsonville.  At 16 years, he is the second longest serving town manager in Gibsonville's history.
  • Edna Jo Hackett, Docents.
  • Howard Hendricks, Curator.
  • "Boyce" Johnson, At Large.
  • Anne Manuli, Secretary.
  • Sandra Moulton.  Membership.  Mrs. Moulton is a prior Gibsonville Alderman and interim Mayor.
  • Jerry S. Nix, Active throughout his life in historic causes, Mr. Nix is also a prior Chairman of the Guilford County Historic Preservation Commission and a prior Preservation North Carolina Board of Directors member.
  • Craig York.  Nominations.  Mr. York is a professional photographer, owner of York's Photography Studios and a Whitsett Planning Board member.
  • Karen York.  Projects.  Mrs. York is a professional photographer and also owner of York's Photography Studios
  • Lethe Yow Walters, Docents.
